Ethics

RALF TECH watches are conceived and designed in France. They are developed in Switzerland and tested around the world before going into production. They are then manufactured either in France or in Switzerland… for use all over the world. The circle is complete! Here’s how it works…

Our RTA002 automatic and RTAC001 automatic chronograph movements are 100% Swiss. Our RTH002 Hybrid movements use a Japanese platform modified in our workshops. The same goes for our RTA003 automatic and RTAC002 automatic chronograph movements. For us, ‘Swiss Made’ or ‘Made in France’ is not simply a mark on a dial, but a reality inherent in compliance with the official standards governing the watchmaking industry.

Above and beyond these standards, we attach particular importance to civic values. In particular, we are very sensitive to the situation of our planet and our oceans. So we pay special attention to the quality and origin of all the materials we use to make our watches.
Finally, all our skin straps are made from farmed animals that comply with CITES standards. They are cut, assembled and sewn by hand in the purest respect for the tradition of French saddlers in Franois in the Doubs region.

RALF TECH watches are therefore the fruit of a dual culture – French and Swiss – and a global awareness of our environment. This complementarity makes them uncompromising timepieces, both in their design and in their production.

watertightness

One of the special features of RALF TECH watches is that they indicate real depth values and not theoretical ones, as most brands do. The ‘ISO 6425 Diving Watches’ standard is thus not only met, but exceeded, thanks to exhaustive specifications and an exclusive control process.

Our test chambers are capable of simulating dives with the possibility of modifying their parameters: immersion time, water temperature, salinity, magnetism of the immediate environment, etc., in order to get as close as possible to a real dive, whether civil or military. All these ‘markers’ enable us to work on our projects with complete peace of mind.

All these tests are of course validated by feedback from our divers and the operators of the various special forces units who use our watches on a daily basis.

We also feel it’s important to say a few words about the helium valves seen here and there on certain diving watches. With fewer than 50 divers in France and fewer than 250 worldwide, so-called ‘commercial’ divers, i.e. those who work under oil platforms or repair the various cables and links that run along the ocean floor, may, under certain conditions, need a watch equipped with a helium valve. Our professional customers, Combat Swimmers, French Navy divers and offshore divers, don’t want one. As for recreational divers, a helium valve is of no use whatsoever, and we think it’s a fragile element. That’s why we don’t fit them to our watches.

RALF TECH has equipped itself with high-performance tools to optimise the design and manufacture of ‘handmade’ bracelets for all the models in the collection.

As a result, we are now able to produce, by hand in the French Jura region, bracelets of the highest quality that match our cases, are aesthetically pleasing, long-lasting and comfortable to wear.

As well as taking care to select the finest skins and work them to the highest standards, RALF TECH is committed to respecting environmental standards. All our skin bracelets are made from farmed animals that comply with CITES standards.
